This past weekend was filled with smiles and laughs as dozens of families came out to Ganesha Park in Pomona, CA for non-profit organization, Sowing Seeds for Life, annual Christmas in the Park event. Sowing Seeds for Life hosts this event once a year to assist families in need by donating food and toys for the holidays. Families from La Verne and surrounding communities came out to enjoy food, live entertainment and pictures with Santa.
City Color Cosmetics partnered with Sowing Seeds for Life this year and donated several cosmetic items that went to the teens and mothers of the families. Often times, items donated to the organization are intened for kids ages 12 and below, so it was a pleasant surprise for these ladies to receive some makeup goody-bags.
Sowing Seeds for Life is a La Verne-based charity founded by Vicki Brown, the CEO of DPI Labs, located at 1350 Arrow Highway. SSFL, as it is known for short, provides food and services to some 6,000 people per month, mainly through twice-a-month food pantries. They are held the first and third Wednesday of every month in the DPI Labs parking lot.
City Color Cosmetics was very happy to be a part of this great and worthy cause.
